Nice to meet you!
Hi, I'm Sara, a historical fiction writer from Cincinnati. With a B.S. in journalism and minor in history from Ohio University, as well as a Master of Education from the University of New South Wales, I have lived, worked, and studied all over the globe in places such as the UK, Ireland, Australia, and Brazil. My experiences abroad have led to an interest in stories of human connection, overlooked voices, and far-off places.
But I have always been drawn to the past, and my main interests as a writer relate to the lesser-known corners of World War II, such as the China–Burma–India (CBI) theater where my grandfather served. My goal is to uncover the overlooked narratives of the war in this region through character-driven stories inspired by true events.
Nowadays, I am based in San Diego, and I am currently seeking representation for my debut novel—the untold story of the invisible threads that guided the Allied efforts in the CBI against the Japanese.
